Candace is a visual editor for The Spruce Pets, The Spruce, and The Spruce Crafts. She joined the team in June 2019. Candace is a photographer and photo art director with over six years of experience in the visual world.

Experience
After college, Candace had a seven-year career in retail and merchandising. Her career began as trainee at Bloomingdale's, then as a jewelry production/design assistant, and later as a home buyer for Five Below and Gilt Group. It was at a now-defunct startup called Chloe and Isabel where she fully embraced her creative side, eventually becoming the associate director of content. There, she helped build the brand's identity from the ground up, making contributions to photography, art direction, copywriting, and social media. She is currently making her best home here at The Spruce.
As Visual Editor, Candace manages a community of freelance photographers who contribute beautiful, original, and on-brand imagery to aid in The Spruce's aesthetic vision and storytelling. Candace oversees and contributes to the creation of all brand visuals, including illustrations and product branding.

Education
Candace graduated from The University of Delaware with a B.S. in fashion merchandising and design.
