Experience
Early in her career, she began professionally writing as a general assignment reporter for community newspapers in Manhattan and Queens, New York. She runs a communications consultancy, developing content and internal and external communications strategy for many industry sectors from food and beverage to health care and fashion to education.
She has been a pet hobbyist for more than 30 years. Her experience with pets began at a young age with parakeets, parrots, and cats. In adulthood, she turned her attention to caring for fish, turtles, lizards, snakes, dogs, and guinea pigs.

Cynthia received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from New York University, and received a New York Press Association award for Spot News Reporting.
