Dr. Juliane Evans is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist with nearly a decade of experience in companion animal medicine. She is based in North Carolina as a relief veterinarian and general practitioner with Indevets. Dr. Evans previously worked in small animal medicine hospitals in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Her interests include pain management, dentistry, surgery, and toxicology, just to name a few. Dr. Evans has experience caring for dogs, cats, and small mammals.
Dr. Juliane Evans has been a practicing small animal veterinarian for seven years; prior to which she worked as a veterinary assistant, as well as roles in human and plant health. After completing a master's degree, she attended Oklahoma State University and studied mixed animal veterinary medicine, to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Upon completing her DVM, Dr. Evans began work at a small animal practice in Lebanon, PA, where she treated cats, dogs, and small mammals through medicine, surgery, and some emergency care. In 2016, Dr. Evans attended the Chi University to study Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and completed her certification in veterinary acupuncture the following year. This provided the opportunity to offer integrative care, by including both Western and Eastern medicine, to create treatment plans for pets that might allow for additional therapies and improved outcomes.
In 2021, Dr. Evans relocated to the Research Triangle region of North Carolina and worked as an associate veterinarian Cary, North Caroline, until settling into a relief veterinarian position with IndeVets. Dr. Evans also occasionally writes for the IndeVets blog and has a history of writing scientific materials, including presentations on topics in veterinary health.
