Shannon Lee has been a freelance writer, editor, and novelist for over 25 years and is a dedicated foster parent to many cats and kittens. She's often written essays and short stories about those who tugged at her heartstrings the most. As a seasoned writer and editor, she often works with a purring cat lying right beside her laptop.

Experience
Shannon Lee has been a freelance writer, editor, and novelist for over 25 years. During that time, she's also opened her home to fostering cats and kittens. Many of those beloved critters have made their way into her writing. Her essays and short stories on pets have appeared in The Nashville Scene, blossombones, and more.
When she's not freelancing, Shannon also writes fiction novels—and yes, every one of them includes at least one animal as a supporting character.
Education
Shannon attended Berea College from 1994-1998, where she studied History and Library Science.
