Steven has been caring for pets ever since his parents brought home his first hamster when he was 5. Since moving to New York from California in 2009, he and his wife have adopted four cats, including an NYC bodega cat needing a forever home, and two adorably rambunctious retired research beagles. He currently lives in the suburbs north of NYC with a backyard big enough for his beagle to run around.

Steven has a Master's degree in Theater Stage Management from Columbia University and has two Bachelor's degrees from Pepperdine University in Theater and Psychology.
